Elmstok provide brand new IDEAL 5260 guillotine to Manchester City Library's Archives department, for helping improve their large cutting job requirements.
Elmstok have just delivered, and installed a brand new IDEAL 5260 programmable guillotine to Manchester City Central Library (part of Manchester City Council).
The new 5260 model was installed by Elmstok, within the Archives department at the central library building in Manchester to help improve their production times and cutting options in-house.
The Archives department required this particular guillotine model for cutting various types of work, including large reams of tissue paper as well as for cutting the spines off old books that required re-binding.
The IDEAL 5260 is one of the latest guillotines in the IDEAL range. It has a 520mm cutting length and an Infrared Light Beam Safety-Curtain, along with a simple and easy to use touch screen that can store up to 99 different programmes.
To comply with Health & Safety requirements, the council also took out Elmstok's Guillotine Service Contract. This ensures that the IDEAL 5260 is checked and maintained at least twice per year by a qualified, professional engineer, and that they will always have a freshly sharpened blade for their guillotine.
