How To Create Calendars Using One Of Our Binding Machines:

We at Elmstok offer a wide choice of calendar binding machines and supplies, to help suit your needs. These range from manual-operated punch and bind systems to larger electric and fully automatic calendar binding machines. 

One of our most popular calendar binders is our ElmPro PB46-CAL wide-format punch and binder. The PB46-CAL is capable of creating various sized calendars, including A5, A4, A3, and even A2 (i.e. short-edge bound).

Step 1 - Setup the side-lay and de-selectable punch-pin (based on the size of calendar you are looking to create - i.e. A5, A4, A3, A2).

Step 2 - Insert your printed calendar sheets (up to 12* sheets at a time only - based on 80gsm) in to the horizontal punch position on the PB46-CAL, with the handle in the up position. *If using thicker sheets and/or covers then reduce the amount accordingly.

Step 3 - With your sheets inserted within the punch area, pull down on the handle until it stops at the bottom, and then raise the handle again to release your calendar punched work.

Step 4 - With your punched calendar sheets collated, bring the back cover to the front of your document (doing this creates the perfect looking calendar, due to the back cover then hiding the wire closure area once the calendar has been bound). Then carefully insert your 3:1 binding wire/s in to your document, as shown above, along with your calendar hanger in the middle.

Step 5 - Once the wire/s and calendar hanger have been inserted, carefully insert the document in to the wire closure area (while making sure you have adjusted the wire-size guide on the machine correctly, to suit your wire-o size). The wire/s need to sit flush to the bottom of the closure base. Once in place, and flush, bring down the handle fully to bind/close the wire/s.

Step 6 - Take out your document from the wire closure area, and flip the rear cover sheet to the back. This will leave you with a perfectly wire-bound calendar, as shown.
